On May 11th, we are presenting this event at the Commongrounds Cooperative in collaboration with The Canary Homes Collective, a group of Michigan-based architects, designers, builders, and health care professionals. This team is working to create solutions to the complex and unmet housing needs faced by individuals who are most vulnerable to and impacted by the harmful effects of conventional building materials, especially those with ME/CFS (Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome), Long COVID, Lyme disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS), and other Environmental Illnesses (EI). For these growing communities, there are neither enough resources or infrastructure to transition vulnerable individuals into safe living environments, free of toxic exposure.
