Cody Ley- Founder, Supply Chain Logistics

Cody Ley is a Michigan based farmer and founder of Hemp 4 Humanity.  With an educational background in Chemistry and a diverse experience in the cannabis/hemp industry ranging from cultivation to processing Cody started H4H with a goal to provide plant based housing solutions that are built in cooperation with the natural environment.  

 

Since 2021 H4H has worked on building and supporting the Michigan hemp supply chain from the farm up.  They use 100% Michigan grown hemp to create all natural health supplements of which a portion of the proceeds go towards building accessible and sustainable healthy hempcrete housing with their crew of licensed contractors specializing in hemp lime applications.

Ellis Wills-Begley- Architecture Design

Ellis Wills-Begley is an architectural designer and fabricator, and passionate about using natural and recycled materials for long-term social and environmental impact. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Architecture from the University of Michigan with more than 10 years of architectural experience and is currently pursuing a Licensure.

 

In collaboration with several associates, Ellis recently co-created Bale Craft, a design cooperative that specializes in Natural Building and Design, where he is a Project Manager and Lead Designer. Ellis is constantly working with regional regulatory agencies and various organizations to ensure code compliance, exceed health requirements, and promote the growth of available green building materials in new construction.

Tyler Shank- Real Estate Project Development

Tyler Shank has been with H4H since its inception in 2021. As a young entrepreneur he has started multiple companies ranging from water sports to residential painting. He is currently developing a portfolio of healthy rentals in Southwest Michigan starting with a full hempcrete retro fit in White Pigeon Michigan. Tyler has a passion for helping people and growing small businesses.

With a growing knowledge of natural building materials and real estate development his key role is setting up opportunities for H4H to implement this sustainable and healthy insulation solution.

John & Jodi Brenneman - Operations, Processing/Manufacturing

The Brennemans have a background in distribution and industrial manufacturing. This pays dividends in developing local processing solutions for hemp farmers in Michigan. They oversee facilities and business operations while keeping this young crew of innovators on the right track with years of experience in business development.
